  Otago Peninsula right before sunset
by martin_nl

Close to Dunedin you will find the Otago Peninsula. Here you will find the only on main land breeding Albatrosses. Don't expect to see any for free, but if you're lucky you will, just like us. You have to book a tour to get a bit closer to them, because the land they nest on is protected. If you're not luvky enough to see the Albatrosses fly you could see some other birds like the shag and maybe you'll see a few seals. You can also book tours around the peninsula and they will take you to see the yellow-eyed penguin.

Directions: Just east of Dunedin.
