"Statue Park" Budapest Off The Beaten Path Tip by McPee

Budapest Off The Beaten Path: 393 reviews and 727 photos

I wanted to visit Statue Park which is where some of the Communist Statues from Budapest have been preserved.

You can catch a bus tour. However I decided to "go native" and travel there by public transport.

Either the number 49 (from Pest) or the number 19 from Buda to their terminals. From there the Volanbus system takes over from there to the park. It takes about 15 mins from the Bus Station and you have to keep your eyes peeled.

There are some wonderful testimonys to the past - you can almost see where the gaps in Budapests Sqaures were filled and the statues they contained when you get back to the City.
