The website below is really great because its tells you a little about many famous landmarks in Berlin as well as opening/closing times and what days they are open.

The Reichstag is an important place of course as its the seat of local government. Besides being interesting architecture, its also a nice place to visit if you are going along the area of Brandenburger Tor. Like many people in Berlin I pass it rather often but have never actually been inside. Why is that about the city you like in you think? You know where it is, see it all the time but don´t ever go unless you have a visitor who wants to see it? Funny that :-)

On the top of the buidling it says: "Dem Deutschen Volke", meaning "To The German People." Many have mistakenly thought this was an anti-Semetic slogan. In reality, it was put up in 1916 long before Adolph Hitler and the Nazi Party came to power, and was created by the S.A. Loevy company -- a Jewish firm. --From the architecture website of Glass Steel Stone. Also there it lists a number of facts about the building as well as history. http://www.glasssteelandstone.com/DE/BerlinReichstag.html
