zaza bistro tropical: "a great place to eat" Zaza Tip by mrcub

Zaza, Rio de Janeiro: 6 reviews and 6 photos

A definate asian influence. A fusion of a couple types of cuisine. The ambience is tropical as the name suggests. The hostess Patricia speaks english and is extremely helpful. We had our wedding dinner on the outside veranda. There is an upstairs where you sit on pillows on the floor and the room is lit by numerous candles. Start with a caprainha in which you get to choose the brand/style of cachaca. They also carry Devassa beer (a micro brew made by the owner) which is the best beer I tasted in Rio. Try anything that you think fits your taste and you will not be disappointed. Save room for some dessert...maybe try the sampler if it is still available. Our favorite restaurant in Rio.

Favorite Dish: As I said above. Everything I have ever tried has been great. Our friends loved it too.
