  One of Brielle's harbours
by Mique

Brielle used to be a very important place for trade but even more important.. it was here that the revolt against the Spanish began in 1572. The year when we kicked their butts out of our country!

The town has great buildings everywhere, 2 small harbours, kazematten, a nice museum on Brielle's history and a church with a tower that you can climb to have a great view over Brielle and surroundings..

It'll take you the better part of an hour to reach Brielle from Rotterdam, but it's worth it.
