The cab drivers will sometimes weave you all over an area of town; especially downtown, because of all the lights that force them to wait and build your fare. So yes, they do this to get a higher fare from you! >:(

Unique Suggestions: BE DIRECT. Tell them exactly where you need to go and even how you'd like to get there! Tell them before your intentions before you get in the cab so that they can lose your business if they aren't going to comply.
