Donji grad - the Lower Town, Zagreb: 47 reviews and 59 photos
The park on Nikola Subic Zrinski Square, coloquially called Zrinjevac, is the oldest park in the Lower Town. In the beginning of the 19th century, the park was just a plough-field and later it became a cattle-fair. In 1872, the fair was turned into a park which became the most beautiful spot in Zagreb and the favorite city promenade.
In the middle of the park is the Music Pavillion, built is 1891. A few years later this beautiful fountain was added, designed by the architect Herman Bolle.
