"Shoppers Delight" Soho District Tip by FredNYC
Soho District, New York City: 45 reviews and 75 photos
There is just about every kind of store you can imagine: Prada to Old Navy. There are also some quirky stupid places shoved in next to the high style boutiques. If you want shoes, there is really no better or fully sourced area in the city to go.
Things to not miss:
Prada – Rem Koolhaas’s rendering of a retail environment warrants a look even if you don’t pay $600 for you shoes. (Look at the sale racks. There’s always a shirt marked down to $300.)
Vivian Westwood – You want to look beautiful and unusual? Fun stuff.
Ricky’s – Shampoo, cosmetics, wigs, and soaps from all over the place. Wigs and blue hair dye. You have to see it to know.
Address: Broadway below Houston (House-ton in New york-ese)
Directions: About 20 sqare blocks of retail and art galleries. Thousands agree.
