Canada and the United States are connected via the Ambassador Bridge which spans the Detroit River. Construction on the bridge began in May 1927 and it was completed 9 months ahead of schedule on Nov 11, 1929. At the time it was the longest suspension bridge in the world at 1.75 miles.

There are good views of the bridge from Ambassador Park at the foot of the Ambassador Bridge on Riverside Drive.

Directions: Entrance to the bridge is at Huron Church Road and Wyandotte Street.
