"Visit two wonderful Gothic..." Sainte-Chapelle Tip by jtb2inky

Sainte-Chapelle, Paris: 145 reviews and 357 photos

Visit two wonderful Gothic cathedrals. When you think of Paris, the Cathedral of Notre Dame is usually one of the first attractions that comes to mind. And with good reason; it is a Gothic masterpiece. The flying buttresses, the gargoyles, and the rose windows make this cathedral one you'll never forget. Pay lose attention to the carved wooden friezes of the life of Christ inside the cathedral. They are marvelous! As beautiful as Notre Dame is however, it is not my favorite in Paris. That can be found very close to Notre Dame, right on the Ile' d' Cite. It is called Sainte Chapelle, and it is a thing of beauty. The tall stained glass windows in the upper chapel are amazing.
