"Sunset Drive/South Miami Art Fairs" South Miami Off The Beaten Path Tip by VdV

South Miami Off The Beaten Path: 1 reviews and 0 photos

Every once in awhile, there is an art fair in the downtown area of south Miami (SW 72nd Street and Sunset Drive.) During my trip in mid-February, we walked to this area from my friends' house, and the Sunset Drive Art fair was taking place that weekend. The array and quality of artwork by the local artists was quite good and reasonable. Had I not been in between business trips, I would have definitely purchased some artwork to bring home.

The food offerings at the art/street fair was fantastic--South American arepas (corn cakes), Greek pita, German/Polish wursts served hot off the grill in crunchy baguettes, French crepes (including my favorite--just a slight touch of butter and lemon juice with a light sprinkling of sugar), and good old-fashioned kettle corn.

It well worth an afternoon visit if there happens to be an art/street fair while you're visiting the area.
