Just outside the main entrance, be prepared to be bombarded with requests or "suggestions" that you need to be on a tour to properly tour the site. They will try to sell you on the fact that, "we don't have to wait in the ticket lines", "you will have an hour wait in the lines, if you don't come on our tour". Don't believe a word of it! You indeed might have to wait in line, but it moves amazingly quick for an Italian queue and the audio guide is less than half the price, but gives 3 times as much useful information.
