Early non-crowded view of Paradise Beach
by adambomb805

What can i say? The name of the beach says it all, Paradise Beach Camprgrounds is exactly that: paradise. The water is crystal clear, sand soft to the touch, breeze keeps you from overheating, and there are tons of beautiful bodies. But there is one problem with paradise, it gets way over-crowded. There is barely an foot of sand that one person can claim as their own. Also, paradise beach is atleast 10 miles from anything else including mykinos town, so be prepared to stay a while. There are buses that run regularly all over the island just like most the other greek islands, and for less than 50 cents you can get to town.

Unique Qualities: The whole area is part of paradise beach campgrounds, and it has everything: two dance clubs, bars, grocery store, internet station, lounge chairs, umbrellas, rentals. For a sleeping area you can get a spot in the dirt, a tent, a hut, or your own room, and evverything is fairly cheap. There are privite community showers, and large shinks to was clothes or feet in if you feel the need. I had my own privite hut with a kingsized bed and a light, and that was it. But that is reallty all i needed as no uses their rooms until late at night. The campgrounds are located directly behind the beach, and the road to town directly behind that. It is a great place to spend a couple nights, but anything longer than that, you would start to feel isolated from the rest of the island.

Directions: From Mykinos city, take the free paradise beach van to the campgrounds. It is less than a half hour ride.
