"Växjö" Sweden Things to Do Tip by Leipzig
Sweden Things to Do: 422 reviews and 839 photos
Växjö is the glass capital of Sweden. There has always been a tradition of glass blowing which you can see in the Glass Museum.
Växjö's history dates back to the 12th century when the first mission was erected here to proclaim Christianity. The town was also seat of kings in the late Middle Age - you still find ruins of the former castle.
I visited Växjö by accident. We missed the right exit from the major road and had a little stop in this town. The most remarkable building here was the red Domkyrka (Cathedral). Its foundation dates back to the 12th century.
