As I have said, you can not walk around Rome without seeing Bernini's works. Piazza Navona is a great example of that. Contained in this highly decorated piazza are three fountains, the signature fountain done by Bernini. What's somewhat unique about this piazza is its shape. The long and narrow layout is due to the fact that it was built over an ancient horse racing track, Circus Domitianus. Just like Circus maximus. These days it is graced with Bernini's marvelous works and are a must see, for sure.

In the centre of the piazza is Bernini's best fountain, la Fontana dei Fiumi.

At the northern end is the fontana di Nettuno and at the southern end, the fontana del Moro. These were done by other artists.
