This temple was founded since late Ayutthaya period. In Rattanakosin period,King Rama III's reign, Phraya Choduek Rajasethi restored the buildings and dedicated to the King.At first ,it was built in Chinese style and turned to be a traditional style in King Rama IV's reign.
The most interesting and unique features of this temple are the windows of Ubosot on eclipse-shaped one derived from the shape of the monk's ceremonial fan . The interior decorated with mural paintings, depicted about Jataka and Chinese table.
In the area of this temple also located a model of Junk boat which one merchant chinese man dedicated this model to the temple.
