The room was okay. It was clean and in a separate area from where the family lived (they were always upstairs). The bathroom was just outside the door and was also clean. My main problem with the place was that it was absolutely freezing. I could literally see my breath in the bathroom in the morning. Plus, the hot water heater was tiny and gave me about a minute to take a shower.

But, for only about 12 Euros, the price was right. I actually paid with Kuna, but this in not a good idea here in Mostar. Try to get some local currency (the Convertible Marka). before you arrive.

As you can see from this picture, the house I stayed in, like virtually all of its neighbors, has bullet holes from the war.

Address: Brace Lakisic 94
Price Comparison: least expensive
Directions: On the hill just behind the bus station. Walk toward Stari Grad (the Old Town) and you'll see a long, stone stairway on the left. Head up the stairs and just before you come to the next major road, you'll find Brace Lakisic.

Theme: Other

Review Helpfulness: 4.5 out of 5 stars
