"Dubious Tourist Information Offices" Top 5 Page for this destination Greenland Tourist Trap Tip by Saagar

Greenland Tourist Traps: 2 reviews and 1 photos

Even in little Ilulissat, there are several agencies proclaiming to be "Tourist information Offices", sounding very official and authoritative. However, they all seem to be private operations recommending their own services.

Unique Suggestions: Take your time, look into each of them, and pick what you like the most. Books, maps, souvenirs, tours etc. seem to be very similar and sometimes the very same ones. Determine what you want to do, and check for the best offer in terms of quality and price. Do not skimp on safety, though (experience, boat quality etc).

Fun Alternatives: You may find fishermen, hunters, a kayak club member or families on an outing who will be willing to take you along for a fee. Remember that the time concept is a bit vague, and so may the payment concept be. But it could be a great experience!
