"Taste the black ale" Guinness Brewery Tip by Kristin050900

Guinness Brewery, Dublin: 140 reviews and 215 photos

I had a lot of fun here. It was really cool how they showed you they make Guinness and also the history of it. You start to walk through the history of Guiness, starting with seeing the original lease for the St. James Gate Brewery, signed by Arthur Guiness in 1759. You then go into a room where you find out that there are only four ingredients to make Guinness. They are water, barley, hops, and yeast. Then get to know Arthur Guinness better in the room dedicated to him. The you head on to see how they brew Guinness, then coop it up in barrels, and then transport it to over 151 countries worldwide. Then you go up stairs to see how they've advertised Guinness over the past years. On the fourth floor is The Floor Learning Centre, where people come to have meetings about Guinness and also where people come to learn how to pour the perfect pint on Guinness. The coolest part of the tour is when you get to the top of the plant, you go into the Gravity bar where they give you a complimentary pint of Guinness to try.
