We stayed for a week in April 2003. This elegant hotel is a former private residence built in 1847 - there are only five or six rooms, all with private baths - all are absolutely beautiful ! There is an amazing formal living room, breakfast room and lovely roof-top terrace that guests may enjoy. The hotel has a great web site -check out the photographs. The staff spoke english and were very friendly and helpful. Our room was on the top floor - next to the outdoor terrace. We were initially nervous when shown the location of our room - fearing excessive noise from the other guests using the terrace, but were relieved to find that everyone was very polite about respecting our privacy. Also - the terrace was off limits after hours so we were never disturbed even if we slept in. We loved sleeping with the windows cracked open a bit so that we would wake to the sound of the church bells ringing softly and the birds softly singing - so romantic ! We loved being able to return to the hotel each afternoon after several hours of sightseeing to relax and soak up the sun on the terrace. After drinks, a nap and a shower, we were ready to stroll to dinner at the one of the many excellent cafes nearby. Did I mention the excellent location ? Casa #7 is located a short walk from the Plaza Pilatos as well as the Cathedral - very convenient - we walked everywhere - the best way to see Sevilla! There was a little grocery store just down the lane (great for water, fruit etc) as well as wine bars, cafes, restaurants all nearby. The hotel serves a set menu breakfast of scrambled eggs, toast with jam & croissants each morning - also excellent coffee. All in all - extremely romantic and intimate. Bathrooms were very large and of high quality- with beautiful marble and tile - dual sinks, tub with hand held shower that could also be used as stand-up.
Unique Qualities: Lovely rooftop terrace, excellent location, very elegantly appointed. Helpful staff.
