  Cellini's "Perseus"-Piazza della Signoria
by bpwillet

Another statue within the outer courtyard of the Loggia dei Lanzi. This version of Perseus is bronze and was sculpted by Cellini in 1554. It was intended, apparently, to warn any of the enemies of Cosmo I of a similar fate.

Address: Piazza della Signoria
Directions: Loggia dei Lanzi, statue on the left hand side closest to the Uffizi if you are facing the Loggia.
