Cadence Coffee, Calgary: 2 reviews and 1 photos

This coffee house/eatery is located in Northwest Calgary, and also offers really good breakfasts and lunches. The place is non-smoking (yay!), and has eclectic decor with modern artwork mixed with vintage kitchen tables and chairs and chrome counter stools.

The atmosphere is comfortable and laid-back as a coffee place should be, with the music at just the right volume; and you'll find people from all walks of life here. It's located in Bowness, which has long had a seedy connotation, but it seems that Bowness is cleaning itself up, with places like Cadence that offer good quality food at reasonable prices.

Usually, one of the owners is around and is happy to chat or answer any questions you may have. The only drawback of Cadence is that it is only open until 6:00 pm.

Favorite Dish: The breakfasts are substantial and of high quality; also try the freshly baked cinnamon buns which are offered only on weekends. Cadence serves Oso Negro organic fair trade coffee, a world conscience alternative to that Seattle supergiant.
