"Nyugati Station" Nyugati Railway Station Tip by biggeorge
Nyugati Railway Station, Budapest: 14 reviews and 23 photos
There's something about this place that i really like , the platforms are always deserted and the ironwork on the roof reminds me of Brighton station.
The metro concourse is complete contrast with old boys playing chess and a fleamarket. It's so crowded and noisy in the metro and outside the station but when you cut down the side of the platform to get to the West End Centre it can be almost silent.
The metro as well as selling crap has a number of stand up Borozos doling out booze and is the favoured sleeping place of Budapests homeless , if you want to check your still alive take a wander through early evening and have a drink with the road sweepers.
Address: Nyugati Paludvar
Directions: In the north of central Pest
