Upon one of Lisbon hills there is this impressive church also called of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

The façade is neoclassic but the building is mainly baroque from the 18th century and no Lisbon?s visitor should miss this sight.

In the interior, marble rules with good examples of baroque statues.

Don't miss the nativity scene by Machado de Castro
(carved in cork and terracotta).

Address: Praça da Estrela, 1200-667 Lisboa
Directions: Buses 9, 20, 22, 38
Trams 25, 28 (this last one leaves from Martin Moniz through downtown, "Alfama" and "Graça", so it is a good sightseeing tour with a regular ticket price).
