"paying with the Zero Euro coin?" Belgium Favorite Tip by tompt

Favorite thing: In Belgium, like in many other european countries, it is Euro time since 1-1-2002. It makes it a lot easier for us. No more changing dutch Guilders into belgian Franks.
But, at our visit in february 2004 we discovered a typical belgian thing............
When the Euro was introduced we all had to converse our national coins to the Euro, in our dutch case it was diving the guilders by 2,20. But the belgian franks had a much lower value. 1Frank was only 0.025 Euro. This should not be a problem, but there seems to be a slight rounding off mistake. That is why they advertise with the 0 Euro coin !! Is this happening in any other country? Don't think so. It sounds typical belgian ;-))))
