"Fantastic Beach" Grenada Things to Do Tip by Cookie8201

Grenada Things to Do: 147 reviews and 324 photos

Morne Rouge bay was like having your own private crystalline white sand beach. There are some bars on the beach but they are unobtrusive. In the mornings, I could see from my hotel window a lone runner on the beach. Usually, it is the local drink vendor going for his morning run and swim (fascinating individual to talk to). As the day wears on there are at most 10 people on the beach. It seems the locals wait until almost 4 pm to come to the beach. Several times I stood in the mild surf and suddenly schools of fish would start leaping out of the water all around me. I would shriek and run out of the water. Then I would sheepishly discover they were only 3 inches long at most. At night, local folks come to sit in the surf and talk. Not unusual to see someone stripping down to undies and walking into the ocean.

Address: Morne Rouge Bay, Grenada, West Indies
Directions: Around the headland from Grand Anse Beach. Take a water taxi, it is cheaper and shorter trip than a land taxi.
