One of the most famous places in Singapore, a visit to the Raffles Hotel is a must if only to say you have been there.
Over the years the hotel has become synonymous with luxury and has gained a reputation for its outstanding service. Famous guest all took their afternoon tiffin on its verandas and in the courtyards. Apparently the last wild tiger in Singapore was reputedly shot and killed here.
Most visitors head for the long bar although not the original for a Singapore Sling which is on tap and to stomp the peanut shells on the floor.

Found a couple of slightly different recipes for Singapore sling and this is one of them.
60ml gin
30ml cherry brandy
soda water
Garnish with slices of orange and lemon a maraschino cherry and mint.

Address: 1, Beach road
Directions: City Hall MRT
