Portugal Off The Beaten Path: 322 reviews and 400 photos

Cascais is a touristy village about 20km from Lisbon. It is situated by the sea and has interesting architecture, mainly on private houses. The village centres on the bay - and more recently on the new marina - and the older centre, with a huge offer of commerce, restaurants and nightlife. Near Cascais, the coast is very beautiful and beaches are very pleasant. Guincho is ideal for windsurfing. Between these beaches and the village you may visit another touristy spot called Boca do Inferno (Hell's Mouth), an interesting rock formation where the sea makes impressive sounds.
