"Electrical Goods Warning" Top 5 Page for this destination Isla de Lanzarote Shopping Tip by lomi

Isla de Lanzarote Shopping: 27 reviews and 15 photos

There are hundreds of shops on the island offering special offers on a wide range of electrical goods.

A lot of criticism is made against some of the traders for hiking up prices. the scam is that they have a high price on the box and then they offer it to you a seemingly huge discount (sometimes up to 50%). some shops have been known to switch branded goods for some cheap alternative when they wrap it up.

If you want to buy something specific, do your homework on the product you want so that you have a good idea of what to pay.

What to buy: If you purchase with a credit card, double check what figure has been written down on the receipt that you sign, and make sure it is in Euros.

Also double check the product that you bought hasnt been 'switched' and check that all the accessories are included.

If you have a problem with the seller, you can always threaten to 'denounce' them to the police.

Every shop in Spain is required by law to have a book in which to record complaints. If they dont allow you this formality, threaten to go to the nearest police station
