Rushcutters Bay, Sydney: 1 reviews and 3 photos

One of my favourite spots, although this particular bay has no beach - it is a fairly deep inlet and is therefore the home to the Yacht Club as well as the start of the Sydney-Hobart Yacht Race.

Instead of a beach there is a large grassy park with plenty of shade from the Moreton Bay fig trees - excellent place for a picnic in the park. Rushcutters holds the unenviable record of being the place where the first Europeans were killed by the indigenous people.

Nowadays its a tranquil spot over the headland from Potts Point away from the city and only 10 minutes walk downhill from King's Cross
