Bierkeller: "Great local food in a wonderful German pub" Kuala Lumpur Restaurant Tip by jenniferchin

"The setting is German Pub style, with dark wood and a big bar. You can eat at the bar or join the dining area. As you always will have some Germans around expect a lively atmosphere. Football, Formula one or how to compete with the Japanese in Malaysia are wellcomed discussion subjects.

The Bierkeller serves authentic German Bierkeller food. Don't look for pork knuckles as the place is halal. Some of the should try dishes are Wiener Schnitzel, Liver Dumpling Soup, Chicken or Beef Pie, Wurstsalad (goes well with beer). Instead of having French fries go for the potato salad ***. The local kitchen is good as well. Carlsberg, Bitburger and Diebels Alt are on draft. Schneider Weisse comes in L bottles. If you need some stronger stuff, go for the wide range of Schnapps"
