This is an old Medieval Castle. You can climb up into the walls and walk along them. Also, there is a courtyard in the castle where they sell food and drink. A few of us had an inside joke - "cake in a castle" (we were excited because we ate cake in a Medieval castle). The food was good and cheap. Near the castle, there were booths with people selling things to drink, and there was some music too. Since this castle is on a hill, there is also a ledge where you can look out at part of the city and the Rio Tejo (the river) - great view.

You will need comfortable walking shoes for this place - sneakers or sandals. There are a lot of bumps on the ground and the stairs are steep.

Here's a funny story - I and 5 other girls in the group were walking through the courtyard in the castle, and a group of men saw us. I think they worked there or were in a band that played there or something (I don't remember exactly). One of them saw us, and started counting how many of us there were, and as it turned out, there were enough of us for them - there were 6 of them. So they started following us and whistling. We knew they were just joking around and teasing us, so we thought it was funny. Everyone in the courtyard turned to look at us!
