Håkonshella Off The Beaten Path: 1 reviews and 1 photos
King Håkon the 7th unveiled the memorial stone in 1921. The stone is a monument in remembrance to a great King with the same name, king Håkon the Good.
He was born here and died here too. He came sailing past here after one of his many fierce battles, and went ashore. His wounds were so great that he died.
The spot is a bit “off the beaten path” just outside Bergen. You can drive there in about 15-20 minutes, and there is a city bus that stops by there a few times a day. See my transportation tip.
