Street vendors: "Prices are not set in stone!!!" Southern Thailand Shopping Tip by Sympatico

Southern Thailand Shopping: 5 reviews and 2 photos

You can negotiate the price of everything when dealing with the local street shops. Nothing is set in stone so look around and get and ask questions. Things are very cheap in Thailand so most people don't bother and pay the first price given. Also, shops around the beaches are a lot more expensive than if you were to go further inland in the city of Phuket. There is supposed to be a big market but I didn't go to it.

What to buy: There are so many souvenirs to pick up, go crazy!
