"Mindeparken grounds / Marselisborg Palace" Århus Things to Do Tip by bscott1
Århus Things to Do: 135 reviews and 279 photos
The Memorial Park surrounds Marselisborg, summer palace of the Royal Family, which is off-limits to the general public.
Marselisborg Palace was built in 1902 to try to apparently make the Royal Family closer to Jutland. The garden, but not the palace itself, is open to the public when the Royal Family is not in residence.
It is a very large swath of grass, giving many residents lots of room to spread out!
Many residents come to the park to relax, get some sun, and perhaps also to be seen.
The Memorial Park's reason for being more has to do with the World War I memorial (next tip)
Directions: About 100 meters inland from the coast and about 2 kilometers south of the city center.
