HSF: "The Dim Sum of its parts: HSF" Sunshine 27 Tip by jglsongs
Sunshine 27, New York City: 1 reviews and 1 photos
HSF is a Chinatown institution. Always crowded, and at least half of the diners at any given time are speaking Chinese at the table; that's the clue right there.
Favorite Dish: You just have to experiment; the wait staff walk through the restaurant with rolling carts of everything, announcing each dish in Chinese. Some of the wait staff will be able to translate...most will not. Just have fun and try everything.
A great idea for a Sunday lunch, or dinner with a bunch of friends. (Prices are by the dish...so it can be as cheap or expensive as your appetite commands.)
Address: 46 Bowery (bet. Bayard & Canal Sts.)
Price Comparison: less expensive than average
Directions: Just south of Canal on Bowery; nearest subways: 6 at Canal. If you know your way around, the F at E. Broadway or the 4,5,6 at Brooklyn Bridge aren't too far either.
Phone: (212) 374-1319
Theme: Chinese/Dim Sum
