"City hall" Stadhuis - Town Hall Tip by Mahieu

Stadhuis - Town Hall, Brugge: 68 reviews and 110 photos

The beautiful gothic structure of the town hall was built in the late 1300's, making it the oldest town hall in Belgium. It was the inspiration for other gothic town halls like the one from Leuven or Brussels. On the front walls, you can see images of saints or prophets of ancient Flanders. The front side also displayes the town weapons of the cities and villages that were under administrative rule from Bruges.
The town hall is the most impressive building of the square De Burg.
