"Light Rail" Houston Things to Do Tip by LiveInHouston

Houston Things to Do: 397 reviews and 681 photos

The light rail was inaugurated on January 1, 2004 -- quite an event for this auto-dominated city. For $2 you can ride all day. See downtown, walk in the tunnels; stop by the Museum of Fine Arts, the Contemporary Art Museum, the Museum of Natural Science, Hermann Park, the Medical Center. Have lunch at Treeneard's in fowntown or Artista at the new Wortham Center, with a view of downtown. Walk the park-like campus of Rice University.

Address: downtown, midtown, Hermann Park, Medical Center
