"Ranakpur" India Favorite Tip by DanielF

India General: 413 reviews and 330 photos

Favorite thing: Ranakpur attracts many foreign visitors for its XV century Jain Temple complex. Most visitors just stop by and visit the temples, but staying there for a couple of days was an excellent idea, as we could take interesting hikes in the Arawalli Hills Natural Area. People in the area were extremely nice and not being so often in touch with foreing visitors, they do not usually regard you as a potential source of income.

This picture shows the Adnitah Temple, the biggest one in the complex, and one of the holiest places for the Jain faith.
