"Quebec Basse Ville" Place Royale & Le Petit Champlain Tip by ChuckG

  La Basse Ville
by ChuckG

It all started there. The oldest part of town is in the lower part, outside the walls.

The area has been well renovated through government subsidies in the 70s and is now a major tourist attraction. Must sees include the Old Port, the Petit Champlain, the Place Royale, Maison Chevalier and Musee de la Civilisation

Directions: You have to take the funicular, take the world renowned "Escalier Casse Cou" or go down some of the streets going through the fortified wall downward
