"Choose well!" Isla de la Gomera Favorite Tip by fassolia

Favorite thing: The journey starts at Tenerife which is the capital of the islands and then one has a choice of 7 islands to go to.They have quite many differences from each other,but i'd suggest to stay at one of them if you only have a few days (well i stayed 11 days ,9 of them at La Gomera).Only Tenerife is cosmopolitan and big ,so you make your choise.It is very helpful to speak some spanish so take a dictionary with you if you are not a fast learner.People are friendly and you will be waved all the time by strangers at street.Give them a 'Hola'! So,for start visit Canarias ( easy and helpful ,with maps,hotels,photos etc)

Fondest memory: A night at Valley Gran Rey when some old habitants obviously with music talents brougth their instruments and sang some cantatas during full moon.They DON'T do this for turists as les Gomeros have a long music tradition and very much enjoy music.It has some latin rythms but is different too.And don't forget to drink sagria...
