The Anceint palace was built in King Borom Trilokkanath in Ayudhaya period . The palace separated to 3 parts ; front area was for officer ,center was for pavilions and halls and inner was living area. All area surround with a big wall and forts which can see the Grand Palace as example. All buildings inside built in different periods but you can just see a ruins for now(though there ‘re a new one pavilion which built in King Rama V of Bangkok period for ceremony to the past Kings. ). The ruin of pavilions such as:
-Jakkawat Paichayon Pavilion, built in King Prasartthong reign in 2175 B.E. It used for seeing the royal ceremony and precession on Sanamchai field or Royal field.
-Viharnsomdet Pavilion, built in 2179 B.E.
-Sanphet Mahaprasart Pavilion, built in King Boromtrai Lokkanath reign as the main pavilion for royal ceremonies.Some chronicles said that all walls in this pavilion decoarted with gold.
-Suriyas Amarin Pavilion, built in King Narayana reign as the place for seeing the boat procession.So it's close to the Lopburi river.
-Banyong Rattanath Pavilion,built in King Pethraja reign as the vacation place.This pavilion built as island decorated with artificial fountain and mountain.
Nowaday,all buildings destroyed cuase of war and human behavior.
