The first area that you encounter after entering the complex is the Hexagonal Court. it was a forecourt to the temples of about 50 metres 50 meters in length and width. It was built in the 3rd century with 30 granite columns forming a sort of portico- later, during the 4th and 5th century it was covered by a dome and transformed into a church. There are many remaining recessed arched niches on your left and on your right: the window-panaramas are fantastic, especially in winter, when the surrounding mountains are covered in snow.
