"Mini Bus & Tram" Top 5 Page for this destination Dnipropetrovsk Transportation Tip by no1pinkpanther

Dnipropetrovsk Transportation: 10 reviews and 8 photos

The best way to get around the city is by micro-bus (minibus). Wherever you travel to and from costs only 1 grivnah per bus. Getting on of course is no problem so long as you know the numbers of the buses going to your destination. You just wave one down. Getting off is easier if you can shout "stop" (in Russian / Ukrainian) to the driver. However it is easy enough to make your intention to exit the bus when you have reached the place you want to be by other means. Trams cost 50 kopeks and you simply get on and get off at their specified tram stops. Beware of the trolley buses - especially when busy - they are notorious for pick-pockets. The trams and trolleys buses however do not have the variety and diversity of route as the micro-buses do. Then of course there are taxi's. Not too expensive if you know how to haggle, but there's a great difference between a journey that might only cost a grivnah or two to a taxi that on average would cost 20 Grivnah!! Your choice. Good luck. Enjoy.
