Delft as seen from the Neuwe Kerk
by Nathalie_B

Delft - beautiful historic town, situated about 15 min drive from The Hague. This is the place where William of Orange was murdered, Veermeer painted, and the members of the Dutch Royal family burried .
Delft is also known for its famous blue porcelain- the Delft Blue. Besides many stores that sell the porcelain, you can enjoy the terraces, shops, museums, and churches. One of them, the New Church is the place where William the Silent is buried. If you're brave enough you can climb up to the Church's tower and get breathtaking view on the city.
Other recommended places to visit are the Old City Hall, The Prinsenhof, and the Old Church, and the East Gate.
