The Grand'Place and the moon: what a combination!
by Groentje

When you arrive in Brussels in Wintertime, say around the beginning of December, you'll see the lights and colours of the Grand'Place light up at night. I really loved the colour of the Town House, which I can see every day when I go to the railway station at night from work (not that I work that late, though). It's splendid! I particularly like this picture as it shows the moon as well. Experienced picture takers will know that it's really hard to capture the moon. I couldn't on this picture, but I'll keep trying!
One of the things I like most about the Grand'Place is the way you reach it: most of the tourists come through the small street next to bakery 'Panos', and have no clue what awaits them at the end of the street. Sure, some flower selling or lace selling people will try to sell you their 'valuable' goods, but just enjoy the view as you're on one of the world's finest squares...

Address: The Grand'Place: quite hard to miss :-)
Directions: Centre of Brussels, smack bam in the middle!
