The Clock tower is one of the most popular monuments in Tripoli, but to be honest I fail to see the reason. The Ottomans built it as a gift to the city of Tripoli - but to me it's just like any other clock tower in the world. However it has its importance, especially since it's the transportation hub of Tripoli: all around it you can find regular taxis and service taxis within thecity, or even to other town and cities in lebanon. And around the corser you will find the bus station. Not a pretty tower, but a necessary landmark when in need to leave the city. For the recrod the clock tower is considered THE city centre.

Address: Tripoli/Trablos
Directions: Al-Tell square - not too far from the Old Town - in the opposite direction of the souk
