  Clock Tower
by coolpanda87

Part of the original Kowloon-Canton Railway, it was built in 1915. This tower stands as a striking reminder of Hong Kong's Colonial past. It elegently adorns the surrounding waterfront promenade and park.

With its classical design in red brick and granite, the 45-metre Tower is a reflective reminder of those Colonial times. But over many years it had far greater significance for millions of Chinese for whom the former terminus was the final stop on their train journeys from villages in their homeland to new lives either in Hong Kong or by ship to foreign destinations overseas. Now the site of the historic railway station is occupied by the futuristic Hong Kong Cultural Centre.

Address: Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon
Directions: Take MTR/bus To Tsim Sha Tsui, & walk south along Nathan road towards the harbour. It is located beside Harbour City, HK Space Museum & HK Cultural Centre.
