"The Beauty of Walking" France Transportation Tip by reon80

France Transportation: 289 reviews and 241 photos

Within the French cities, like most places that you will travel in Europe, I would advise you to walk. Take trains/buses into the town/city/village and then walk around and see the sights, meet the people, eat the food. Everything is usually really close together because the French people seem to walk a lot too, even if they do have cars. I really enjoyed my walks in Orleans, St Jean-de-Braye, and even in Paris. If you start at Notre Dame Cathedral and walk along the river to the Arc de Triomphe, youll see pretty much all the famous Parisian sites, plus its great exercise and it can be really pretty on a beautiful day!
