In recent years it has become popular to drive up north from San Diego to see the vibrant rows of color created at The Flower Fields. More than 200,000 people visit the fields each year, from early March through early May. The Flower Field changed owners about ten years ago and have added a special nursery garden, a gift shop and there are festivals of one kind or another throughout the blooming season.

Children are welcome to run through the rows of flowers as their parents stroll along enjoying the beauty of nature.

Ranunculus known as Tecolote is the flower that started it all and now they have added other lovely varieties to the mix.
